I used to go by the name 'patamystic' on social media. It's a word I made up in response to another made up word, 'pataphysics.' So my first few musical creations were done under that name. This music is electronic, experimental, and includes spoken word elements. Here's an example:
(The child's voice in that is my granddaughter Madeleine.)
Now I'm mostly making music under a new made up name, 'pumiqxt,' (pronounced pum-uh-quit). The reason for the new name is that since November 2024, my musical interest has broadened to include an appreciation for harsh music. What is harsh music? It's exactly what you might think.
(update - I have retired the music I made under the name patamystic, and am only producing as pumiquxt from now on)
There are a ton of electronic music sub-genres that are related: industrial, drone, noise, industrial drone, industrial noise, ambient noise, harsh wall, etc. Because I create experimentally, it's difficult to think of my music as belonging to a specific genre, but I'm beginning to think of most of it as Droise (drone and noise).
How does one create art under fascism? My answer is by responding to it. Much of my new music is protest music. Here's one that is responding to a recent publicly released Palantir Shareholder Call featuring the words of CEO (Crepuscular Excrement Orifice) Alex Karp, who is among the world's most despicable humans:
And this next one is responding to a speech that Vladamir Futon gave to the Munich Security Conference (I hope you'll listen to all of this, because it highlights why Hitler wanted to assassinate The Three Stooges):
